Personal Narrative
Our honeymoon in Split in August 2023 was a dream come true. This less-traveled destination proved to be the perfect choice, with its rich history, stunning coastal views, and authentic local culture. From exploring the labyrinthine streets of Diocletian's Palace to enjoying late-night snacks on the Riva Promenade, Split offered a unique experience every day.
One of the most memorable highlights was joining locals for a game of picigin at Bačvice Beach. This traditional water game, unique to Split, brought out the playful spirit of the city and gave us a chance to connect with the local culture in a fun and unexpected way.
Another unforgettable experience was climbing Marjan Hill at sunset. The panoramic views over Split and the surrounding islands were breathtaking, and we felt a profound appreciation for this beautiful city.
Split’s fusion of ancient and modern, coupled with the warmth of its people, made our stay truly special. It’s a place we can’t wait to return to, with each street and beach offering new memories waiting to be made.
